Hotel Blü – bin so frei

Location

The comfortable hotel, Hotel Blü – if I may say so myself – is situated right in the centre of Bad Hofgastein. Access to the ski area is via the ‘Schlossalmbahn’ lift, which is about 1 km away. The “Alpentherme Gastein” thermal spa, situated approx. 350 m away, also offers a special wellness experience. Cross-country skiing is available on the network of trails about 450 m away. You can also enjoy sporting activities on the toboggan run, which is approx. 1 km from the hotel. Ski buses stop right outside the hotel. Bad Hofgastein railway station is approx. 3 km away.

Facilities

The accommodation comprises a main building and the side building ‘Baumhaus’, which are connected via an underground passage. The lovingly furnished hotel features a reception, a lobby, Wi-Fi, a library, a lounge, a lift, a breakfast room, the hotel’s own restaurant and a hotel bar. Outside, there is a terrace and a roof garden. You can store your winter sports equipment in a ski cellar. On site, parking spaces are available for a fee, as well as a charging point for electric vehicles (for a fee) – subject to availability. There are also free parking spaces near the hotel (subject to availability).

Spa

The “Himmelblü Spa”, covering an area of approx. 500 m², is situated on the 5th floor, high above the rooftops of Bad Hofgastein, and features a Finnish sauna, a bio sauna, panoramic relaxation room, as well as a panoramic terrace and roof garden (opening hours as per the notice on site).

Children

Cot beds are available for an additional charge; high chairs are included (on request/subject to availability).

Entertainment

The accommodation offers sports facilities such as a yoga room.

Board

When booking rooms on a half-board basis, meals include a generous breakfast buffet (07:30 – 10:30) featuring regional produce. In the evening (5.00 pm – 8.30 pm), you will be served a 3-course menu of choice. A Christmas dinner is served on 24 December, and a New Year’s Eve dinner is served on New Year’s Eve. Lactose-free and vegetarian alternatives are also available on request. On site, you will receive one bottle of Blü wine upon departure for every booking of 5 or 7 nights (non-transferable, no cash alternative; see information on site).
