Alpine Friends

Alpine Friends is a family-run catered chalet in Châtel, hosted personally by Luke and Grace Friend.

The chalet sleeps up to 8 guests across four ensuite bedrooms and is offered for exclusive use by families and small groups, with an outdoor hot tub to relax in after a day on the mountain.

When snow conditions permit, guests can ski back to the chalet at the end of the day. The chalet is not ski-out, but the free ski bus stops approximately 150 metres away and takes around 5 minutes to reach the Linga ski lifts. Pré-la-Joux is also a short drive away, providing quick access towards Avoriaz and across the wider Portes du Soleil.

With more than 10 years' experience in catered chalet hospitality, we provide home-cooked food and practical help before and during your stay.

We offer flexible catered stays of 5–7 nights, with Saturday or Sunday arrivals preferred. Other arrival days may be possible by arrangement, subject to availability.

The chalet has 4 ensuite bedrooms sleeping up to 8 guests, with space suited to families, friends and mixed-ability ski groups.

Three bedrooms feature 160 × 200 cm double beds, with two of these rooms available in either twin or double configurations to suit your group. The fourth is a smaller ensuite bedroom with bunk beds.

After a day exploring the mountains, relax in our outdoor hot tub and enjoy the Alpine surroundings.

We can also help with ski hire, lessons, lift passes, transfers, restaurant bookings and local advice.

Our standard 7-night catered stays include daily breakfast, afternoon tea and 6 home-cooked evening meals, with wine served at dinner. Catering is adjusted accordingly for shorter stays.

A cot or additional child bed may be available by arrangement depending on the group setup.
