| # Preferred Ski Chalet Requirements
I am looking to book a **private catered ski chalet** for a group holiday in either the **French Alps** or the **Swiss Alps**, with a strong preference for the **French Alps** due to the excellent value for money, extensive ski areas and wide selection of high-quality catered chalets.
## Budget
* **Maximum budget: £12,000** for the entire chalet.
* The price should ideally include catering, with as many costs included as possible to minimise additional expenses.
## Dates
* Preferred travel period: **Late February to early March**.
* I am flexible within this period if it helps secure a higher-quality chalet or better value for money.
## Location
The chalet should be located in a well-known ski resort with access to a large ski area. Preferred resorts include:
* Val d'Isère
* Méribel
* La Tania
* Courchevel
* Val Thorens
* Les Arcs
* Tignes
* Other resorts within the Three Valleys, Paradiski or Espace Killy ski areas.
## Ski Access
My ideal chalet would be:
* **Ski-in / ski-out**, allowing us to ski directly to and from the chalet.
* If ski-in/ski-out is not available within the budget, then the chalet should be within a short walking distance of the lifts or provide a convenient shuttle service.
## Chalet Type
* Exclusive use of the chalet for our group.
* Traditional Alpine chalet with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
* Spacious lounge and communal living area.
* Comfortable, well-furnished bedrooms, preferably all with en-suite bathrooms.
* Log fire or open fireplace preferred.
## Catering
The chalet should be **fully catered**, ideally including:
* Cooked and continental breakfast.
* Afternoon tea with cakes or snacks after skiing.
* Pre-dinner canapés.
* Three or four-course evening meal prepared by a chalet host or chef.
* Wine served with dinner.
* Catering provided on at least six days of the week.
## Skiing
The resort should provide:
* Access to a large interconnected ski area with a wide variety of pistes.
* Excellent skiing for intermediate and advanced skiers, with options for beginners if needed.
* Reliable snow conditions during late February and early March.
* Modern, efficient lift system with good access across the resort.
## Resort Atmosphere
The resort should offer:
* A good selection of après-ski bars.
* Restaurants and cafés within walking distance.
* A lively but welcoming atmosphere.
* Supermarkets, ski hire shops and other essential amenities nearby.
## Overall Preference
My ideal chalet should provide the perfect balance of comfort, convenience and value for money. My priorities are:
1. Staying within the **£12,000 budget**.
2. A **fully catered** private chalet.
3. **Ski-in/ski-out access**, or as close to the slopes as possible.
4. Located in a high-quality ski resort with access to an extensive ski area.
The aim is to find a chalet that provides a memorable ski holiday, combining excellent skiing, high-quality accommodation, great food and easy access to the slopes, while remaining within the overall budget.
