You guys do this all the time so would appreciate solutions that are truely easy for this. We would book ourselves first but would hope other family members would join us. A hot tub would be great. The chalet sleeps up to 8 guests in 4 ensuite bedrooms, so there would be plenty of room for the four of you, with space for other family members to join.
We are a family-run chalet, personally hosted by me and my wife, Grace, and we have two young daughters ourselves, so we understand the importance of making a first family ski holiday as straightforward as possible.
We have lived and worked in the Portes du Soleil for over ten years and would be very happy to advise on the best places for your family to ski and help arrange suitable lessons, ski hire, lift passes and airport transfers.
The free ski shuttle stop is around a 2-minute walk from the chalet, with the main Châtel lift access only a few minutes away.

Hotel Au Coin du Feu is a full service hotel with a chalet style atmosphere. Our 17 unique bedrooms are perfect for couples and families alike. We have an on–site crèche, a games/movie room for teenagers, a hot-tub, massage room, private bar and five course evening meals for adults. All our rooms can be booked for seven nights half board or for short breaks.
Chalet Plan des Rochers is 80 meters from the hotel and can be booked for exclusive use or by individual bedrooms. Fully catered and staffed with the same standards and facilities as our hotel, Plan des Rochers also benefits from an excellent ski to door location.
Chalet des Amis is next door to Au Coin du Feu so can be used as a private chalet or as an annex to the hotel. It sleeps up to 9 people in 3 bedrooms, is ski to door and shares the spa facilities of the hotel. It has it's own private chef but there is the option of joining guests at Au Coin du Feu if there is space in the dining room.
Chilly Powder offer the full package – we have onsite childcare, can arrange transfers and we’ll even have your lift pass ready by breakfast on the first morning of your stay with us.

For first-time skiers, Les Gets is one of the best family resorts in the Alps, with excellent beginner areas and a relaxed village atmosphere.
Before you arrive, we'll happily arrange your ski passes (with any available group discounts), equipment hire (25% off shop prices), and ski lessons, saving you the hassle of organising everything yourself. We'll also share plenty of local advice to help your children have the best possible first experience on the snow.
Our catered chalet includes daily breakfast, afternoon cake and refreshments, and a three-course evening meal with wine (except Wednesdays), leaving you free to enjoy your holiday. And yes—we have a hot tub, perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes!

Marmotte Mountain Retreat is located in Argentiere in the Chamonix Valley - at the foot of the infamous les Grands Montets ski resort.
The Chamonix Valley is 16km’s long, made up of five major ski stations as well as the iconic l’Aiguille du midi cable car. The valley has an excellent snow record with 90% of the ski area above 2000m, making it one of the most snow sure resorts in Europe. Situated in a tranquil spot between Morzine-Avoriaz and Les Gets, The Hideaway offers the perfect relaxing stay in a mountain retreat.
We are a small, owner run chalet and can arrange flexible transport to/from the pistes each day.
Recently renovated to a luxurious standard, the Hideaway offers:
- 2 x Large ensuite double rooms
- 1 x Large quad room with adjoining bathroom (option for a 5th bed if required)
